Travelandia

Facebook Integration Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This privacy policy applies specifically to Travelandia's use of the Meta (Facebook) Graph API and its internal Facebook Page management tools. It supplements our main Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

Travelandia is a Philippine-based travel agency. We use the Meta (Facebook) Graph API solely for the purpose of managing our own official Facebook Page — including publishing tour promotions, travel advisories, and destination content on behalf of our business. We do not build consumer-facing Facebook applications or collect data from Facebook users outside our own organization.

2. Data We Access via Facebook

Through the Meta Graph API, we access only the following:

  • Page Access Token — used to authenticate and publish posts to our own Facebook Page.
  • Page ID and Page Name — used to identify and connect to our official Facebook Page.
  • Post IDs — returned by Facebook after publishing, stored internally to track published content.

We do not access user profiles, friend lists, personal messages, or any data from people who interact with our Facebook Page.

3. How We Use This Data

  • Publishing tour packages, promotions, and travel content to our Facebook Page.
  • Scheduling posts for future publication.
  • Tracking which internal posts have been published and their Facebook Post IDs for record-keeping.
  • Logging API errors for internal debugging and troubleshooting.

All data accessed via the Meta Graph API is used exclusively for internal business operations. It is never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Page Access Tokens are stored in our secure internal database with restricted access, accessible only to authorized administrators.
  • Token values are never logged in plain text in system logs.
  • We use HTTPS/TLS for all API communications with Meta's servers.
  • Access to the Facebook Manager tool is limited to admin-level users of our internal system, protected by authentication.

5. Data Retention

Page Access Tokens are retained for as long as our Facebook Page integration is active. Tokens are replaced or revoked when updated or when the integration is disconnected. Published post records (including Facebook Post IDs) are retained indefinitely for business record-keeping but contain no personal user data.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share any Facebook-sourced data with third parties. API calls are made directly between our application and Meta's Graph API servers. No analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers receive any data obtained through the Facebook integration.

7. User Rights and Data Deletion

Since this tool is used exclusively by Travelandia's internal staff and does not collect data from external Facebook users, individual data deletion requests via Facebook do not apply to our integration.

For any data-related concerns, contact us at: official.travelandia@gmail.com

8. Compliance

This integration complies with:

  • Meta Platform Terms and the Meta Graph API Developer Policies.
  • Republic Act No. 10173 — Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012.
  • Applicable guidelines of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our use of the Facebook integration changes. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
